Ten individuals found guilty of digital abuse against Brigitte Macron

A French judicial body has found guilty ten people for engaging in the digital intimidation of Brigitte Macron, the spouse of French President, Emmanuel Macron.

The those on trial faced allegations of disseminating fabrications regarding her gender and sexuality, in addition to posting malicious remarks about the pair's 24-year age gap.

This recent ruling in France coincides with the Macrons initiating a libel case in the United States of America against conservative commentator Candace Owens, who has repeatedly shared similar conspiracy theories about the Brigitte Macron's biological sex.

Their complaint alleges that Owens disregarded all credible evidence that refuted her assertions in favour of give a platform to established defamers.

Owens has frequently reiterated these claims on her digital program and social media channels, and in March 2024 stated that she would stake her entire professional reputation on her belief that Mrs. Macron was born a man.

Brigitte Macron first met her future husband when she was a teacher at his lycée.

The pair married in 2007, when the future French president was 29 and she was in her mid-50s.
